This recipe was born out of a need to have an easy to drink raspberry and gin based drink. And that's exactly what this is. I added an optional heart garnish for a couple of extra romance points!
RASPBERRY FIZZ RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

- 1.5 oz / 45 ml gin
- 1 oz / 30 ml simple syrup
- 0.5 oz / 15 ml lemon juice
- Tonic water
- 7 Raspberries
- Orange peel or lemon peel to garnish

METHOD:

Create a heart garnish by cutting a rectangular piece of orange or lemon peel, cutting it in half starting from about half an inch (1.3 cm) from the edge, taking the two ends and connecting them to be the top of the heart inside a raspberry. Once you achieve the shape you want, push a toothpick through the top of the heart and through the raspberry to hold it all together.

Muddle 6 raspberries in a shaker then add the gin, the simple syrup and the lemon juice with some ice and shake. Double strain (cocktail strainer + fine mesh strainer) into a chilled fancy glass and garnish with the heart garnish.

If you can't be bothered with the heart garnish a simple lemon peel garnish will do the trick, you'll just get less wows.
