As you might know already, I love tiki drinks. It's been a while I wanted to try a banana cocktail but I couldn't be bothered to buy a bottle of banana liqueur to add to my pretty full bar for just one drink... So as soon as I bumped into this recipe I thought I'd give it a go! This is a very well balanced tiki with a lovely banana texture and flavour.
Banana Beachcomb recipe


- 1.3 oz / 40 ml golden rum
- 0.5 oz / 15 ml overproof rum
- 1.7 oz / 50 ml coconut rum
- 0.3 oz / 10 ml lime juice
- 0.3 oz / 10 ml falernum
- 1 banana, use some to garnish
- 1 dash of Angostura bitters


Blend all ingredients in a blender on high with ice. Pour into a tiki mug and garnish with some banana and sparkles.
